Each number holds the potential for positive or negative action and whilst we are all interested in ourselves, to use our natural talents or traits to the detriment of others is something we should be eager to avoid.

Below are the basic interpretations for the Life Path Numbers 1 through to 9, there are however 2 other numbers that have some significance when totalling the numbers in our birth date or name, they are the numbers 11 and 22, these are regarded as Master Numbers and should never be reduced to a single digit.

To work out your Life Path number you simply add the numbers together. For example, suppose your birthday was 14 October 1973, to total this number you would add it like this:

October is the 10th month. Reduce 10 to a single-digit. 1 + 0 = 1
The day of birth is 14. To reduce this number to a single digit add 1 + 4 = 5
The year of birth is 1973. We reduce 1973 by adding 1 + 9 + 7+ 3 = 20. 2 + 0 = 2

Next we add the results of all three numbers like this:

What happens if your total is a master number, for example, 2 April 1949, you would total this number exactly the same as our other example, like so, add it like this:

April is the 4th Month. This number is already a single-digit = 4

The Day of birth is 2 and again this number is already a single digit = 2

The Year of birth is 1949. We reduce 1949 by adding 1 + 9 + 4 + 9 = 23. 2 + 3 = 5

Next we add the results of all three numbers like this:

Your Life Path number is 11

Except, in this case you would not add the 1 + 1 together because 11 is classed as a Master Number. The same goes if your last two numbers total 22.
